Sometimes people gift you something so special that you spend time trying to capture something of why it makes your heart sing.

Thank you to v-grrrl.
And to Peter, for that special bottle of red wine.

A birthday, a job and a party with friends ... October has been a good month.

It looks so serene and peaceful. Hope you have had a wonderful b-day party.

Your photo of the bracelet is so much better than mine, not that I'm surprised. Glad you captured it "just so" and that it matches you inside and out.

We had a fantabulous night, which must be why it was so hard to get moving this morning.

Thanks Manic, I did, except for not being properly organised but I guess that doesn't surprise you :) Thinking of having another in a couple of weeks, to invite those forgotten in my disorganisation and to have that Spanish guitar guy play too.

So difficult to get moving today in general and in the end, I gifted myself a lazy day in my bed. I haven't done that in forever :)

Di, this bracelet sure was a great gift from Veronica, she's an amazing woman who really knows how to touch someone's heart.

And her Grand Marnier cake tasted like heaven!

I also enjoyed tasting some very appetising NZ dessert, loved it.

Everyone is entitled to have a lazy Sunday, I know all about it :-)

However, I did went back this morning (shopping on Sunday in Antwerp today, along with a wintersports festival in front of the cathedral, including snow)
to check on those dead-cheap Canon Eos over at
http://www.saturn.be/promo/folder_nl
at the brand new Antwerp (in English)
http://www.stadsfeestzaal.be
(impressive pictures at

The 80 SLR Canons for 399 EUR had gone, as expected, but window shopping in style can be fun. Yes, they even have a champagne bar, overlooking the crowd under that golden shopping dome.

She is Peter, as are you with your lovely bottle of red.

The cake was divine. And yes, you had some of Jessie's pavlova.

Hope your Sunday was a lovely lazy one Peter. No idea how I'll sleep as I may have napped a little this afternoon.

You went back to the madness of stadsfeestzaal? I was there on Saturday and the crowd was a little too much for me. I'll post a photograph tomorrow but plan on slipping back in when things quieten down. It probably comes from living in a land the size of Italy but with only 4 million in population ... we like space ;)

Thanks for the links and so very sorry to read your Canon EOS had gone. That's my cunning plan for you as I love your cellphone photography already.

As for the champagne bar there ... well, I just discovered an unfinished bottle of white wine in my fridge. Maybe I will sleep tonight too :)

Tot ziens and slaap lekker.

It is Ascender, and I love wearing it. It sits in a Paua shell I have on my desk amongst stones collected in Europe on the rare occasion I'm not wearing it :)
