I left New Zealand mid-2003, bound for Istanbul and a new lif. After two years, a Belgian guy lured me into his world, deep in the heart of Europe. For a long time I was an in-process immigrant. One day we married. These days it's about photography, a little red wine and wandering ... and so the journey goes.
I've been waiting for her to pop online, so wish her a Happy 21st! Her Bday has made me think of the many happy memories I have....Pippins, and holidays visiting you all. Go enjoy the day! Love to you all!
Time flew ... yesterday we were sitting by the Arrow River, throwing stones for Sandie-dog back home in Central Otago, today here we are ...
Thanks Mark, I was happy.
I guess it's as it should be Jon :) I found some Cadburys chocolate and Gingernut biscuits though ... not doing too badly ;)
Hey Ashley ... hmmm maybe I should post one of the photos from those days on Base Woodbourne and then later too. They were good days, weren't they. We're off to the city, perhaps I can get Jessie to Guest blog here later.
Hi Peter. Her dad just phoned to wish her happy birthday and we were bemused. He said he never imagined his daughter would be living on the other side of the world for her 21st birthday ... and I had to interrupt with 'Well I was resigned to it'. It's been incredible having her and Sahara move here and I hope Christmas is as delicious :)
Wow. Where did the time go?
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice photo of you Di.
ReplyDelete[no Di - sorry - it's the truth, no smart arse'd comment to be seen]
Agreed, Happy birthday baby :D
ReplyDeleteI said it to her this morning when it was morning the 13th here. Totally beat you to it imo
